Why do I Create?
I love to draw and come up with unique perspectives on my subject matter. My goal is to live a life of creative exploration. To always be open to experiment and to be willing to challenge my style or media. I like to try subject matter over and over again to see where I can change or improve. I focus on my creative process more than my end result.
Because of this, I end up doing a lot of throw-aways because I am willing to push past the “pretty” stage.
I gravitate towards things around me in my daily life. From the forest that surrounds my studio to the gardens and beachscapes of Vancouver Island. I spend my summer months at my family cabin in the Okanagan. I do try to spend some time creating up there when I am not helping my three kids in their active lives up there.
